A free trail-building session led by experienced local trail builders. As the local Mountain Bike Trail Association we want to help develop the next generation of Trail-builders so they can maintain and enhance their trail network in a sustainable way.

About the event
This free session is a chance for young riders to learn what goes into making a fun, sustainable trail with advice from experienced local trail builders. It will include tips on efficient and safe tool use, trail inspection, trail construction methods, and line choices for flow and drainage. The focus will be very much 'hands-on', with the opportunity to improve or construct a section of trail or a trail feature and then ride and tweak it.
Ages 12-16. Parents are welcome to join for the day. Under-12's are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
As an outdoor session, the weather will be out of our control! Bring sturdy outdoor footwear, warm and waterproof clothing, and something to eat and drink. We will provide cake!
